Some of you may have been wondering about the Art of MRS page on our website. Well as you may already know, Memphis College of Art was a large reason I moved to Memphis in the first place in 2009. I studied with so many wonderful professors and had one of the greatest experiences of my life at MCA. I graduated in 2013 with a concentration in Drawing and a minor in Art History. My drawing professor and advisor Fred Burton, taught me so much and I learned to draw with just about any media I could find. I gravitated towards mixed media, things I could find just about anywhere, magazine clippings with images that were evocative, textural paper, using letters, numbers and words to spell out something I was feeling. Using paper, color and imagery to spell out something I was feeling; using lead, conté, and ink to portray an emotion. I still find the time to take journeys through my mind using just ink and water on a page to see where it will lead me. 

I have artwork featured on my website so that those who enjoy my music can enjoy my visual art as well. And during the holidays, it can be so special to receive a handmade item from an artist to another artist, from an artist to an art lover, an art lover to another art lover.
