Marcella & Her Lovers launches IndieGoGo campaign for new LP of all original material. Fully embraced by one of the most significant music cities in the world, Memphis has proven to be fertile creative ground for Simien to  express herself, carving her own path within its rich history and dynamic present. This album is a testament to her experience of being warmly welcomed into a new home, drawing strength from and taking refuge in the songs and stories of Memphis. The indomitable force she is, with this new music Marcella Simien confidently leads her band into the next phase of an already accomplished career

Simien was recently featured in an IKEA-Southern Living “Meet in Memphis” video promotion that generated over 1.5 million views on Facebook. Marcella and the Lovers will showcase at SXSW on March 10, at the Memphis Picnic and will also perform at the most important music festivals in the Mid South -Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis on May 7. The campaign soft start has already been successful, and it’s all out live today with the full launch!
